Hyundai has prepared its China-only Lafesta sedan for the next year, landing it with minor changes across the board. The radiator grille now wears a Piano Lacquer finish instead of chrome, while the roof and the mirrors go black. Additions include side skirts, red brake calipers, a Luxury Sport emblem on the wing, a new rear spoiler, and 18-inch matte-black wheels. Like before, the car is 4,660 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,425 mm tall with 2,700 mm between the axles. The trunk size is 475 liters.

Things stay stock in the cabin, but you can now choose from a wider assortment of fake leather options. The seven-inch digital dash is still there, as is the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen display, electronic handbrake, and ventilated front seats.

Gone is the old 1.4L turbo rated at 140 PS and 242 Nm of torque, leaving the 1.6L turbo-four as the only option. You can still choose between 190 PS and 204 PS, but the torque will stay capped at 265 Nm in both cases. The top spec needs 7.6 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 220 km/h. Prices go up across the range, with the entry-level spec now costing 133,800 Chinese Yuan instead of 119,800.

It would be logical for the Lafesta EV to get its own facelift soon. The all-electric sedan has 184 PS, 310 Nm of torque and 490 kilometers of NEDC-rated range. Prices range from 173,800 to 198,800 Yuan.
