Renault has unveiled a new variant of the Zoe dubbed the Venture Edition, which adds slightly revised looks and more equipment to Europe’s best-selling EV year-to-date. Based on the Zoe Play, it slots between the Play and the Iconic models, with pricing starting at £ 28,495 (US$ 38,042), including the government grant.
Set to launch in mid-January 2021, it
features eight exterior colors, side mirror caps finished in the same shade as
the exterior and 15-inch Flex wheel, as well as a 7 kW wallbox. On top of the
Play, the new Venture Edition adds front and rear electric windows, climate
control, 7-inch infotainment system with sat-nav, rear parking sensors,
autonomous emergency braking, lane departure waning, high-beam assist and lane
keep assist.
The rest of the equipment is shared with
the rest of the range and includes LED headlights and DRLs, rain-sensing
wipers, dusk-sensing headlamps, 10-inch TFT driver information display,
smartphone integration, Bluetooth, USB ports and a handsfree keycard. Customers
can further spec options such as the Winter Pack, which brings heated front
seats and steering wheel, and 50 kW DC fast charging.
The Venture Edition uses the R110 electric
motor, which produces 110 PS and is powered by a 52 kWh
battery that gives it a range of 394 km on the WLTP cycle. Topping
it up to 80 percent with the optional DC fast charging takes one hour and ten
minutes. The Zoe is offered with a 5-year/100,000-mile (160,934-km) warranty and
an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty for the battery.
