Pricing details for the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid have been announced in the United States. Like the rest of the 2021 Crosstrek family, the updated Crosstrek Hybrid variant benefits from some minor visual upgrades, including a new front bumper, distinctive fog light trim, and a hexagonal grille.
Prices start at US$ 35,345, a US$ 200 increase
over the 2020 model. The price including destination and delivery sits at US$ 36,395, although Subaru is keen to point out the car is eligible for a US$ 4,502
federal tax credit and certain states also offer rebates of up to US$ 1,500.
Powering the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid
is a 2.0-liter boxer engine coupled to Subaru’s StarDrive Technology that
encompasses two electric motors, one of which functions as an engine starter
while the second electric motor powers the vehicle for hybrid and electric
driving modes. This second electric motor also charges the hybrid battery
during regenerative braking.
Arriving as standard on the Crosstrek
Hybrid is Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that includes Automatic
Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure
and Sway Warning, and Lead Vehicle Start Alert. It also includes Reverse
Automatic Braking, High Beam Assist, and Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change
Assist and Cross Traffic Alert. There’s also a Pedestrian Alert System.
Those not satisfied with the entry-level
model can pay US$ 2,500 for an option package that adds a power moonroof, heated
steering wheel, Starlink 8.0-inch navigation system, and a Harman Kardon audio
system with eight speakers and a 432-watt amplifier.
