The fifth generation of the Subaru Forester will be turning three years old this spring, so Subaru decided to give it a stylistic refresh. Judging by the abundant wrap, the front fascia will land with some serious changes, including a new honeycomb grille. Fenders and skirts also look ripe for a major redesign, while the rear will probably be left alone.

The international version of the Forester will likely keep its naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine making 185 PS in concert with a CVT and AWD. However, on its home market, the Forester has recently gained a special version called Sport, along with a 1.8-liter turbo engine of the second-gen Subaru Levorg. This new version produces 177 PS and may also become available worldwide, although no official statement has been made yet.
