Aftermarket tuner Zyrus has unveiled a wild, street-legal upgrade package for the Lamborghini Huracan that turns it into a hypercar destroyer. We’ve covered the Norwegian company’s modified Huracan in the past but that model was simply a prototype being used to perfect and fine-tune the eventual production model. After more than 2 years of testing and over 6,000 km of on-track action, the kit is ready for customers.
Officially dubbed the Zyrus LP1200 Strada,
the car’s 5.2-liter V10 engine receives a pair of turbochargers, boosting the
output to 900 HP when driven in its regular mode for the road. Should customers
want to exploit the full 1,200 HP, they can switch it into track mode.
Unlike many other tuners, Zyrus didn’t
simply call it a day after giving the car some added grunt. Instead, it has
developed a completely bespoke bodykit for the Italian supercar, which produces
a remarkable 2,010 kg of downforce at 200 km/h.
Up front, this new bodykit includes an
overhauled front fascia with a sleek bumper and large air vents on the hood.
There’s also a roof scoop, extended side skirts, enlarged air intakes, and a
truly gargantuan rear wing fitting of an LMP1 race car. Zyrus has also
overhauled the rear with a distinctive diffuser and new taillights.
The Zyrus LP1200 Strada consists of no
less than 600 new parts when compared to a standard Huracan and tips the scales
at just 1,427 kg. Prices for this insane-looking vehicle start at
€ 595,000 (US$ 725,671) while the track-only LP1200 R is available from € 525,000
(US$ 640,000). This track model is lighter, tipping the scales at 1,200 kg, and also has more downforce with 2,142 kg.
