Ford might have created some controversy by putting the Mustang name on an electric crossover, but that hasn’t stopped companies from offering customization options for it. Motion R Design has possibly created the most all-out kit for the EV yet. The company, based out of Lancashire, typically specializes in bodykits and interior upgrades for Ford’s Transit van and Ranger pickup. However, for this project, they’ve decided to take on the Blue Oval’s new electric crossover.
The car features numerous design changes
including custom wheels, a mid-mounted liftgate spoiler and a new front grille.
However, the most notable departure from the standard Mach-E is the widebody
kit, which comes complete with new wheel arches, new side skirts, and a new
front and rear bumper, the latter of which includes a diffuser. The kit can be
had in traditional carbon fiber, or a forged carbon option.
Although, Motion R
Design also specializes in interior work, they haven’t released any images of
the Mach-E’s cabin. However, it will apparently be getting full Nappa leather
upholstery, as well as a flat-bottom carbon fiber steering wheel; interior door
cards in carbon fiber will also be an option.
There is no word about any changes to the
powertrain, but that shouldn’t be an issue, considering the Mach-E’s already
solid performance. In stock form, its hottest version, the GT Performance
Edition, packs 480 hp and 860 Nm of torque, which
is good enough for a 3.5-second 0-100 km/h time.
