Jeep has opened the order books for the Gladiator across Europe, where it will arrive in dealerships in early 2021. European customers will be offered a single engine option, a 3.0-liter Multijet V6 diesel producing 260 HP and 600 Nm of torque and paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, non-European markets and the Middle East will, in addition to the diesel, get the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 petrol option too.
The range of the Euro-spec Gladiator
includes the Sport and Overland trim levels, as well as a limited Launch
Edition that’s available only during the launch phase. Jeep’s pickup truck will
be available in nine exterior colors in combination with a soft top, or either
a black or body-colored hardtop. Jeep will also offer more than 200 official
Mopar accessories from launch, enabling customers to spec their new Gladiator
to their exact taste. The accessories range includes bed covers and coverings,
a railed roof rack, different load-carrying systems, tubular side steps, rock
rails, alloy wheels, and more.
All Gladiator models in Europe will come
equipped with the full-time Selec-Trac 4×4 system, which features a two-speed
transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio and Dana 44 front and rear
axles with a 3.73:1 rear-axle ratio. According to Jeep, the entry-level Sport
trim of the Gladiator offers improved functionality and content for off-road
customization, while the Overland has a wide range of features as standard to
offer the best in terms of both comfort and technology.
The limited-run Launch Edition is reserved
for the first European customers and is packed with features such as 18-inch
alloy wheels, a body-colored hardtop and fender flares, a spray-in bed liner,
Cargo Management Group, and tonneau cover. In addition, the interior of the
Gladiator Launch Edition features black leather seats, the 8.4-inch Uconnect
infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a forward-facing camera,
and an Alpine Premium Audio system with a portable wireless speaker.
