Hyundai has dropped a host of new photos and details about its new 2021 Staria people mover. The Hyundai Staria looks like nothing else from the South Korean car manufacturer. This is because it has adopted an ‘inside-out’ design philosophy that begins with the design process of the interior and expands it to the exterior.

The 2021 Staria’s front end includes horizontal LED daytime running lights that run the width of the vehicle and are paired with low-set headlamps positioned on either side of the grille. Hyundai’s designers have also given the vehicle an extraordinarily low beltline, resulting in expansive side windows. The design of the Staria’s rear is more conventional and includes vertical taillights and a wide window.

Customers that opt for the Staria Premium model enjoy a unique grille with a different mesh pattern as well as tinted brass chrome on the Hyundai emblem, wheels, side mirrors, and door handles. The Staria Premium also gets 18-inch wheels with diamond patterns and graphics.

Hyundai says the interior of the Staria has been “inspired by the lounge of a cruise ship” and includes a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a button-type electronic shift lever like the new Santa Fe, and a digital gauge cluster. All Staria Premium variants also arrive as standard with ambient lighting and for 7-seat models, a one-touch relaxation mode that reclines the second-row seats. Models equipped with 9-seats also have second-row seats that can swivel 180 degrees to face passengers in the third-row.

The covers will be taken off the 2021 Hyundai Staria in the first half of this year.
