After last year’s big unveiling, the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport embarked on a Euro tour, with official stops in some of the most well-known cities on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. More recently, it officially touched down in the United States, with the Molsheim hypercar maker allowing journalists behind the wheel.

Now, this story is not about feedback and trying to uncover new features of the Chiron Pur Sport, but about its official arrival in our market and first encounter with the Willow Springs racetrack. And it truly is something, considering that the latest production model from Bugatti, described as “a pure driving machine designed for increased agility and handling” by the brand, is limited to only 60 cars and each one starts from US$ 4 million.

The advanced aerodynamics, huge rear wing, more negative camber, stiffer suspension, and exclusive tires made by Michelin, in addition to a special driving mode, shorter gear ratio, and a higher rev limiter make the Chiron Pur Sport a greater machine than the regular Chiron.

Power still comes from the quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16, which develops 1,479 HP and 1,600 Nm of torque. It can hit 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and has a top speed limited to 350 km/h.
