Ram has introduced the fifth and final variant that features a “maritime force-inspired theme with both Spitfire and Bright White exterior colors.” While the company didn’t exactly come out and say it, this is effectively the Coast Guard Edition.
Besides the two paint choices, the truck
has a number of black components including the grille, bumpers, badges, side
steps and exhaust tips. They’re joined by body-color fender flares and 20-inch
aluminum wheels with a Technical Gray finish. The model also sports a U.S. flag
and a “Built to Serve” decal on the rear quarter panels.
Interior changes are relatively limited,
but the special edition has black seats with orange contrast stitching and
Velcro panels with “Built to Serve” embroidery. Speaking of the seats, the
front seat backs have “Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing
Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing.” Rounding out the highlights are Black Onyx
Chrome trim, all-weather rubber floor mats and a “Built to Serve” badge on the
instrument panel.
A total of 1,250 ‘Coast Guard Editions’
will be available and 500 of them will be painted in Spitfire. The special
edition package will be available with “all body styles and all powertrains,”
and they’ll come with 4×4 Off-Road Group content including tow hooks, skid
plates, heavy duty shock absorbers, hill-descent control and an
electronic-locking rear differential.
Ram will begin accepting orders this month
and production is slated for the second quarter of 2021.
