Rolls-Royce displayed an exclusive collection of models at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show in China. These comprise of the Cullinan, Ghost Extended and Wraith, which have been painted in bespoke color schemes that are quite different than the brand’s usual proposals.
Inspired by mid-century artefacts such as
the Eames Rocking Chair and Fender Stratocaster guitar, the Black Badge
Cullinan Mid-Century Modern boasts a Segano Green minty paint finish contrasted
by a few black accents. The luxury SUV sports exclusive treadplates that read
‘Specially Commissioned for Auto China 2021’, and the cockpit combines Serenity
Green and Black upholstery with Technical Fiber veneer.
The special edition long wheelbase Ghost
has a Jubilee Silver and Gunmetal two-tone design, with Lime Green coachline
and wheel pinstripe, said to have been inspired by Shanghai’s neon lights at
night. The interior employs Navy Blue up front and Cashmere Grey at the back
for a more exclusive experience, and it also features Serenity Seating with
calf rests. Lime Green contrast stitching can be found throughout the cabin and
in the luggage compartment, which has a bespoke luggage set in Navy Blue
canvas, Cashmere Grey hide and Lime Green contrast.
This version of the Wraith has a
nautical-like theme, with Bespoke GT Blue and Arctic White two-tone exterior
and a hand-painted Koi Red coachline with special motif inspired, according to
Rolls-Royce, “by a volcanic eruption against a menacing blue sky”. The Muscari
Blue and Arctic White interior has flashes of Koi Red, and the veneer has a
hand-painted geometric pattern inspired by skyscraper windows illuminated at
night. The red Starlight Headliner contributes to the experience.
