Seat Leon is now available with new petrol and diesel engines in the United Kingdom. Available solely for the Leon hatch in the FR, FR Sport, XCellence and XCellence Lux trim levels, the 2.0-liter TSI gasoline unit puts out 190 PS. That engine is coupled to a DSG automatic transmission and allows the Leon to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and up to 232 km/h.
Pricing for this new variant of the
Spanish compact model starts at £ 28,810 (US$ 39,916) and standard gear
includes 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, rear tinted windows, ambient
lighting, rain-sensing wipers, smartphone integration and drive profile selection.
The FR Sport comes from £ 30,370 (US$ 42,078), adding 18-inch wheels, heated front
seats and steering wheel, and microsuede upholstery.
The XCellence grade is available from
£ 30,800 (US$ 42,673) and comes with 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, electric
folding side mirrors, and heated front seats and steering wheel, while the
XCellence Lux is priced at £ 31,980 (US$ 44,308) and features leather upholstery,
high beam assist, adaptive cruise control and dynamic road sign display.
Meanwhile, the new 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine
develops 115 PS, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint
in 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. The oil burner is
limited to the SE and SE Dynamic versions of the Leon estate, priced from
£ 24,515 (US$ 33,965) and £ 25,615 (US$ 35,489) respectively. The SE rides on 16-inch
alloy wheels and features LED headlights and taillights, an 8.25-inch
infotainment system and smartphone integration. The SE Dynamic brings 17-inch
wheels, tinted rear windows, a 10-inch infotainment system and digital dials.
