Kia is in the process of readying a brand-new Sportage, but before the new generation arrives, they have tweaked the current model for the 2022 model year. The lineup comprises of the LX, Nightfall Edition, EX and SX trim levels, with standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. The Nightfall Edition is the latest entry into the range, replacing the S spec as a standalone package.
The LX Value Edition Package, with its
18-inch dark gray wheels, smart key with push button start and heated front
seats, is part of the modest makeover. Also, the EX trim gets a standard
panoramic sunroof, and the EX Tech Package and SX Turbo feature map updates
with new points of interest and ADAS support.
The forward collision avoidance assist
with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver
attention warning and high beam assist are included across the range. The
blind-spot collision warning and rear cross-traffic collision warning are
standard on the Nightfall Edition, EX and SX Turbo, and optional on the LX
Value Edition Package.
Pricing for the 2022 Sportage starts at US$ 24,090 for the LX FWD and US$ 25,590 for the LX AWD, excluding the US$ 1,175
