Daymak has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an electric car set to become the fastest three-wheeled vehicle on the planet. The proposed car has two wheels at the front and one in the back. It looks unlike most conventional cars with large round headlights and a sharply slanted windshield. The interior is meant for two people.
The developer team calls the vehicle a
kart packed to the brim with innovative tech, some of the highlights being
regenerative braking, wireless phone charging and solar panels for continuous
power supply.
The US$ 19,995 base trim called Deluxe is
rated for 300 kilometers of range. The $149,000 Ultimate spec is
expected to have around 480 km of range and accelerate to 97 km/h in 1.8 seconds. This would put it on par with the Rimac
C_Two, an electric hypercar packing a 1,914-PS.
All of the above may sound a bit too
ambitious, but the company is already amassing $100 advance payments, hoping to
collect 50,000 pre-orders before July 23 and launch production in two years’
time.
