A little-known Italian car company by the name of FV Frangivento has just unveiled a supercar dubbed the Sorpasso. The car will be sold in both Stradale and GTXX guises and whereas the Stradale has a naturally aspirated V10 engine with 610 hp, the GTXX features a supercharger that increases power to 850 hp. That grunt is enough to send the supercar to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and through to a 345 km/h top speed. Both the Stradale and GTXX have all-wheel drive.
The exterior design of the FV Frangivento
Sorpasso immediately catches the eye thanks to its aggressive angles and sharp
surfaces. The front end is particularly interesting and includes angular
headlights with LED daytime running lights, a large grille, and gaping-wide air
intakes. Equally as intriguing as the front are the sides where the Italian
company has fitted large gloss black wheels and doors that incorporate air
intakes.
A look at the rear of the Sorpasso reveals
prominent buttresses extending back from the roof and an LED light bar. The
location of the exhausts is also quite interesting, as is the big diffuser. No
images of the car’s interior have been released but the carmaker says it will
be clad in a mixture of leather and Alcantara. The Sorpasso will also
apparently feature an ‘Avatar Driving Assistant’ that uses AI technology.
Buyers of both the Sorpasso Stradale and
GTXX models can also get involved in the Programma Sviluppo and Programma Ego
programs for 30 days where they will be able to modify the car to their
personal taste.
