The Jeep Wrangler is a very capable machine out of the box, but Liberty Walk gave it a somewhat OTT makeover. The Japanese tuner’s LB-Works Fairline body kit that’s aimed at the Sahara and Rubicon versions of the Wrangler JL make it look kinda like a Mad Max movie car, only softer.
The bundle consists of steel front and
rear bumpers, extremely wide fenders, tubular side steps, steel doors that lack
interior cards and windows, and a thick windscreen surround. A military-like
net covers the cabin, going from the windscreen all the way to the tailgate.
Additional lights were mounted in the bumper, close to the roof and next to the
headlamps, and the rear bumper holds the reversing light. The jacked-up
suspension and new wheels round out the package.
Liberty Walk is charging 403,400 yen
(US$ 3,645) for the grille and wide fenders
with visible bolts locally, and US$ 4,034 for abroad markets. The FRP-made parts
can be ordered individually as well. In this case, the grille and fenders cost
88,000 yen (US$ 795) or US$ 880, and 315,400 yen (US$ 2,850) or 3,154 respectively. The
tuner, which is known for its flashy body kits, hasn’t released the pricing for
the other mods.
