Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse racing division has teased its latest project and like its other recent creations, it appears to be something exciting. The car in question appears to be based on the Huracan EVO but has clearly been transformed and turned into a track-only weapon. The teaser video provides us with a glimpse of the car’s design and reveals that the front end will include new LED headlights.
Elsewhere, we can see that the new car has
more pronounced front and rear fenders with air louvers. Other key features
include a roof scoop, a towering rear wing, a sizeable diffuser and new LED
taillights.
It is unclear if the car teased will be a
one-off like the Essenza SCV12 and the more recent SC20, or some kind of racer.
Regardless of what the case may be, it seems highly unlikely that it will be
street legal and might not comply with any racing regulations either. Instead,
it could be positioned as the ultimate Huracan for customers seeking the best
possible track day experience or, if it’s a racer, the new entry in
Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo series.
While many details about the vehicle
remain under wraps, the teaser video does provide us with an opportunity to
hear its engine and clearly, it is a high-revving, naturally aspirated V10 like
the road-going Huracan, although it should be free of all the
regulations-mandated restrictions imposed on the street-legal car.
