This is the Tank 300 Cybertank, a concept from Chinese automaker WEY that is making its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Cybertank is based on the existing Tank 300 but pushes the envelope with its more aggressive design and upgrades.
Most notably, WEY has equipped the Tank 300 Cybertank with a wide bodykit that includes flared wheel arches. The concept also features a solar panel on the roof, a prominent roof-mounted wing, and a unique set of wheels with off-road tires.
The front end of the concept is
particularly eye-catching thanks to a unique bumper with Y-shaped LED daytime
running lights, enlarged air intakes, and a hood scoop (although it’s unclear
if it is functional). WEY has also outfitted the off-roader with roof rails and
a square-shaped spare wheel cover on the tailgate.
The interior of the Cybertank is also
quite noteworthy and is dominated by white leather, circular air vents, and
aluminum accents. Squint and you could be excused for thinking this is the
interior of a Mercedes-Benz. The cabin also features piano black components,
tennis ball-yellow accents, a large infotainment screen, and a digital gauge
cluster.
There is no word on whether any mechanical
changes have been made over a standard Tank 300. If not, that means the
Cybertank continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
engine with 227 hp.
