Brabus has launched a complete tuning package for the 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63. Aptly named the Brabus 800, it comprises of a boost in power and visual enhancements inside and out, including new wheels. By replacing the turbochargers, re-mapping the ECU, tweaking the air intake and adding a high-performance exhaust system with an available quiet mode so as not to wake up the entire neighborhood, the tuner has squeezed out an extra 188 PS and 150 Nm of torque.
As a result, the twin-turbocharged
4.0-liter V8 now pumps out 800 PS at 6,600 rpm and 1,000 Nm at 3,600 rpm. The engine is hooked up to a nine-speed automatic
transmission and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, rocketing the super sedan from 0 to
100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and the estate in 3.1 seconds, or
almost half a second quicker than stock. Top speed is electronically limited to
300 km/h in both body styles, up from 250 km/h.
The tuned AMG E63 also features a front
apron, trunk lid spoiler for the four-door model and carbon fiber diffuser
insert. Different wheels are available from Brabus, up to 21 inches in
diameter. The pictured car rides on the 9×21-inch front and 10.5×21-inch rear
‘Platinum Edition Z’ forged rims with a special finish, wrapped in 255/30 and
295/25 tires respectively. Contributing to its stanced looks is the optimized
air suspension that lowers the ride height by 10 or 20 mm depending
on the selected driving mode.
Stainless steel scuff plates with backlit
Brabus logo that changes color in tone with the ambient lighting greet users
upon opening the door. Other interior enhancements include the aluminum door
pins and pedals. Brabus has a very generous selection of fine leather and
Alcantara upholstery available, as well as precious wood and genuine carbon
accents in store too. The Brabus 800 Sedan or Estate can be ordered a complete
car, but Brabus can also fully or partially convert the customers’ rides to
this specification.
