Spy photographers have caught the facelifted Porsche Cayenne on multiple occasions, but now we’re getting our first glimpse at the updated Cayenne Coupe. Looking instantly recognizable, the model has a revised grille with a more rectangular shape and more pronounced horizontal bars. We can also see enlarged air intakes that now have a single lower bar. Elsewhere, the crossover coupe adopts restyled headlights and a new hood. The rear end appears to carryover, but the production model could have a modified bumper and lightly revised taillights.
Spy photographers didn’t get close enough
to snap the interior, but previous pictures of the Cayenne showed the model
will have a new center console with a minimalist shifter inspired by the one
found in the 911. That prototype also had revised switchgear, an updated
infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Porsche has been tight-lipped about the
facelifted Cayenne lineup, but engine options are expected to carryover.
However, the crossover could follow in the footsteps of the Panamera and adopt
a new S E-Hybrid variant to slot in between the E-Hybrid and Turbo S E-Hybrid.
If that happens, we can expect the plug-in hybrid to have a combined output of
around 552 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
Launch timing remains a mystery, but
Porsche could introduce the facelifted Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe later this
year or early next year.
