When we least expected it, Bugatti posted a series of 15 photos stylized as postcards on its Instagram account, along with a promise to show us something special on May 31, 2021. There is no reason to expect anything but the final version of the long-anticipated supercar, the La Voiture Noire.

The “Black Vehicle” first showed up at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2019, where a mystery client purchased it for € 11,000,000. However, the example on display back then was nothing more than a simple mock-up powered by a small engine just powerful enough to position it in the booth. The real thing took Bugatti 2.5 years to build.

As you can see, the car has kept all of its trademark traits except for the LED stripe between the hood and the roof and the single large window washer. The stripe is gone, and the washers look rather mundane.

The car was envisioned with an eight-liter, quad-turbo W16 rated at 1,500 PS and 1,600 Nm of torque. Then again, the company might want to ramp up the power to be on par with the Chiron Super Sport 300+.
