Lexus has released the first teaser of the all-new 2022 NX ahead of the model’s official reveal on June 11. The new teaser image of the 2022 Lexus NX focuses on the rear end of the new small luxury SUV, showcasing the full-width LED light bar that’s part of the taillights. However, no thanks to a set of leaked images that surface earlier this year, we have already seen the 2022 Lexus NX in its entirety.  The new Japanese premium SUV will adopt a more dynamic and smoother exterior design than its predecessor, featuring the trademark Lexus grille at the front supported by a set of cleaner-looking headlights that are devoid of the “Nike-swoosh”-looking separate DRLs.

We don’t have much information yet on what’s hiding under the skin of the 2022 Lexus NX, but previous reports and rumors suggest that the new SUV is going to use Toyota’s global luxury platform. The range is also expected to include the 302 HP plug-in hybrid powertrain from the Toyota RAV4 Prime, together with an entry-level 2.5-liter four-cylinder and possibly a 3.5-liter V6 option as Lexus recently trademarked the NX350 and NX350h names. .

Our earlier look at the interior also revealed that the new Lexus NX is going to adopt a fully digital instrument cluster, paired nicely to a huge infotainment touchscreen display. Thankfully, Lexus has opted to retain some physical controls for the HVAC system. The cabin also features a big center console with similar design cues from the Toyota Mirai and overall appears to be a genuine step-up from the outgoing model, featuring nice metal details and extended leather upholstery.

Lexus will reveal the all-new 2022 NX on June 11 at 11 PM EDT.
