After having their way with the 2021 SQ8 not long ago, ABT Sportsline has presented an Audi SQ7 with similar updates. It too features an aftermarket engine control unit that boosts the output and torque of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 to 650 PS and 850 Nm.
That’s a healthy 143 PS and 80 Nm jump over the stock SQ7, which does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds. ABT hasn’t disclosed the new acceleration time, but it should be on par with their tuned SQ8, which does it in 3.8 seconds and tops out at 270 km/h, 20 km/h more than the standard model.
Those familiar with ABT’s work know that usually there are other things to look for. In this case, you’re looking at a discreet exterior makeover courtesy of the aero package that comprises of front and rear skirt add-ons and door strip attachments. There are also new 102 mm quad pipes and 22-inch wheels with ABT center caps shod in Continental tires. The black paint job of the SQ7 is contrasted only by the red brake calipers and ‘SQ7’ logo on the grille.
An ‘ABT’ branded push-start button rounds up the updates for this project, which can be ordered as a bundle or a complete car from the tuner, priced at € 121,319 in Germany including tax (US$ 148,308). By comparison, the 2021 SQ7 TFSI starts at € 92,200 (US$ 112,711) in its home market.
