BMW has partnered with the Red Bull Driftbrothers to create two eye-catching M4 Competition drift cars that the duo will drive during the 2021 season of the Drift Masters European Championship. Elias and Johannes Hountondji have been involved in promoting the new BMW M3 and M4 in recent months and their new drift cars make the road-going versions look tame. In fact, the 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine has been tuned so much that it now pumps out 1,050 hp and almost 1,300 Nm of torque.

The exterior of the two drift cars is also adorned with all-new bodywork that makes them stand out from the road-legal model. For example, there is a bespoke carbon fiber tailgate spoiler, a pronounced rear diffuser, a front splitter, various aerodynamic winglets, and tailpipes where the rear window normally sits. The two cars are also much wider than the production M4.

The two cars will make their competitive debut at the season-opener of the Drift Masters European Championship in Greinbach, Austria on July 10 and 11 before heading to Riga, Latvia for the second and third rounds on August 30 and 31. The season wraps up in Tbilisi, Georgia on October 4 and 5.
