The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV are both now available with police packages. Known as Special Service Vehicles packages, the two Bolt models come equipped with 20 amp and 30 amp circuits to operate things such as auxiliary lights and radios. The police package also includes a Surveillance Mode that turns off the interior and exterior lights, GM Authority reports.

A number of other features are included with the SSV package. For example, 16-inch steel wheels come standard and are wrapped in 205/55 all-season tires at all four corners. There’s also power lumbar support and an 8-way power driver seat. As you would imagine, only fleet and government orders are accepted for the Bolt EV and EUV models equipped with the SSV package. Obviously, they are not pursuit-rated vehicles but can still serve various different functions in police forces.

No mechanical modifications have been made to the duo. As such, both are powered by a 65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers a single electric motor powering the front wheels and rated at 201 hp and 360 Nm of torque. The Bolt EV can travel 259 miles on a single charge while the slightly larger Bolt EUV is limited to 247 miles.

Chevrolet equipped the updated Bolt models with DC fast charging capability, meaning the Bolt EV’s battery can be topped up with 100 miles (161 km) worth of range in just 30 minutes while the Bolt EUV’s range can be boosted by  153 km in 10 minutes.
