The online configurator for the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has just been launched in the U.S. Prices for the 668 hp super sedan start at US$ 84,990 with the six-speed manual transmission and rise to US$ 88,165 when outfitted with the available 10-speed automatic. Our dream CT5-V has the stick shift (of course) and is finished in a shade of blue dubbed Wave Metallic, a US$ 625 option. Various other colors are available, including Summit White, Black Raven, Blaze Orange Metallic, Infrared Tintcoat, and Electric Blue which is not dissimilar to the Rapid Blue of the C8 Corvette.

Six different interior configurations are available and we opted for the Natural Tan configuration with Jet Black accents and full semi-aniline leather seats. The configurator then directs to a number of packages that are available.

These include the Carbon Fiber 1 Package and the Carbon Fiber 2 Package although weirdly, you need the Carbon Fiber 1 fitted if you want the Carbon Fiber 2. Combined, the two packages add over US$ 9,300 to the price tag. Cadillac also offers a Driver Assist Package that adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking, but this package is only available with the 10-speed automatic. We also added the US$ 610 Parking Package and the US$ 260 Interior Protection Package.

Other options that “our” CT5-V Blackwing features include 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with a Tech Bronze finish, US$ 9,000 carbon ceramic brakes, black lug nuts, a power sunroof, and a sueded microfiber steering wheel. All up, our dream CT5-V Blackwing carries a price tag of US$ 114,395.
