The 2021 Hyundai i30 Fastback N Limited Edition has just been announced for Australia where it will be sold in limited numbers. When the facelifted i30 N was launched, there were questions about whether both the hatchback and Fastback would make it Down Under. The hatch has already been confirmed and the Fastback has now joined it, although only 500 examples will be offered.

Like the hatch, the i30 Fastback N Limited Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 276 hp and 392 Nm of torque that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Models equipped with the DCT come with N Grin Shift, N Power Shift, and N Track Sense Shift modes. Five distinct driving modes are also offered, including an N Custom mode where drivers can optimize the engine, suspension, ESC, electronic limited-slip differential, active variable exhaust, steering, and transmission.

All i30 Fastback N Limited Edition models that will be sold in Australia feature forged 19-inch alloy wheels that reduce the car’s unsprung mass by 14.4 kg over the pre-facelift model. Another important update is the fitment of lightweight bucket seats finished in leather and Alcantara as standard.

The car is available in Polar White, Shadow Grey, Dark Knight, Phantom Black, Performance Blue, Engine Red, and Sunset Red. It can also be optioned with a panoramic glass sunroof for an extra AU$  1,500 (US$ 1,102). Local pricing for the i30 Fastback N Limited Edition starts at AU$ 49,000 (US$ 36,000) for the six-speed manual and AU$ 52,000 (US$ 38,200) for the DCT, excluding dealer delivery and on-road costs.
