Dacia announced it will premiere a new 7-seater family car at the 2021 IAA Mobility show in Munich, with a digital unveil on Friday, September 3rd. This as-of- yet unnamed model will be the Logan MCV small wagon spied a few weeks ago during testing. It will have a three-row cabin aiming at versatility while following Dacia’s budget-friendly philoshophy.
The new model will be based on the CMF-B platform, sharing its underpinnings, interior, and several body panels with the Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Logan. While the prototypes were heavily camouflaged, we expect the Logan MCV to feature similar styling with its siblings at the front, with a redesigned tail and a high roof allowing for additional cargo space and adequate head-room for all seven passengers.
The range of engines will include the naturally aspirated 1.0-liter producing 64 hp, the turbocharged 1.0-liter producing 89 hp and the bi-fuel 1.0-liter producing 99 hp when burning LPG. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a CVT-type automatic gearbox depending on the specification.
Besides the recently facelifted Duster, Dacia is also preparing to launch the production version of its C-SUV flagship previewed by the Bigster concept. This will probably be the first model to carry the Romanian automaker’s new logo, with an expected market launch sometime in the second half of 2022. Dacia will showcase the whole range of models at the 2021 IAA Mobility show in Munich from September 7th to 12th – including the Spring electric supermini – together with the redesigned logo and brand identity.
