The Maserati Grecale is shaping up to become one of the brand’s most important vehicles, but the company hasn’t forgotten about the rest of the lineup as they’ve announced a series of updates for the 2022 model year. In particular, the 2022 Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante are gaining a handful of new and revamped trims in the United States and Canada.
Kicking things off is the GT trim, which “highlights Maserati’s character, charm and elegance” while also embracing a “more urban, minimal and contemporary spirit.” That being said, changes are limited as buyers will find chrome trim and 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Ghibli GT has Dark Mirror trim while the Quattroporte GT boasts Radica wood. The Levante GT, on the other hand, comes with Black Piano trim.
Regardless of which model is selected, all GTs come equipped with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that produces 345 hp and 500 Nm of torque. This is notable as the Quattroporte is getting a new base engine as the 2021 model came standard in S trim with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 pumping out 424 hp and 580 Nm of torque. The Modena trim goes in a different direction as it’s designed to appeal to “sports enthusiasts” who want elegance and dynamism. Given this, the models are distinguished by sportier bumpers, black accents and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there’s Dark Mirror (Ghibli) or Black Piano trim (Levante and Quattroporte).
The performance theme extends to the engine compartment as all three models are powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that produces 424 hp and 580 Nm of torque. Levante customers can also opt for a Modena S trim, which comes with additional equipment as well as a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine developing 550 hp and 729 Nm of torque.
Last but not least, there’s the range-topping Trofeo trim which signifies maximum performance with red brake calipers, carbon fiber trim and 21- or 22-inch alloy wheels. The models also have a new Maserati logo on the hood as well as a Trident badge on the C-pillar. Other highlights include Pieno Fiore natural leather sport seats with Trofeo logos on the headrests. All three are equipped with a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 580 hp and 729 Nm of torque.
The 2022 Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante are now available to order, but there’s no word on pricing.
