Pininfarina has been tapped to design a handful of new trucks to be produced by Gaussin. Guassin builds a plethora of vehicles and products in the transport and logistics fields and currently has a fleet of more than 50,000 vehicles worldwide. With Pininfarina, it is readying for new trucks that are all underpinned by an innovative modular skateboard platform that can support electric and hydrogen powertrains.
Among the vehicles being readied are a Class 8 truck that will have a range of up to 1,200 km, smaller trucks for use in built-up cities, rigid trucks for the construction industry (including cement trucks and tippers), rigid trucks for waste management, and a ‘racing’ truck.
A teaser image released by Pininfarina shows that the trucks will all have similar headlight and LED daytime running light arrays, as well as illuminated badges and Gaussin branding.
