Following the release of Ferrari’s latest model, the V6 hybrid 296 GTB, the automaker has given us a taste of what a model of our very own could look like by releasing the car’s configurator. With eight areas of configuration, there’s a decent amount of optioning that can happen here. There’s the standard stuff, like the paint color, the wheels, and the seat color, but there are also options for the carpeting, the color of the stripes on the Fiorano pack, and more.
Some of the highlights here include a range of great colors including the historical “Rosso Dino.” The color, a nod to the original V6 Ferrari, is a nice touch here. The racing stripes on the Fiorano pack can also be optioned in either yellow or silver, both of which look better than I expected when combined with most colors.
The configurator also shows off the new 296 GTB‘s carbon fiber wheels and the “Monocoque carbon racing seats” that can be had in all the same colors as the standard seats, which is a nice touch. The 296 GTB is powered by a 2.9-liter 120-degree V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor that sits between it and the 8-speed gearbox. All in, it’s good for 819 hp and 740 Nm of torque. It can also go 25 km on electric power alone.
