Chevrolet has updated its online configurator to include the 2022 Camaro and while very few changes have been made to the car for the latest model year, we’re sure some enthusiasts will be eager to get their orders in. Prices for the 2022 Camaro start at US$ 26,195 for the Coupe and increase to a minimum of US$ 32,695 for the Convertible. Once you select our preferred body style, you can then select what specific variant you want. Available options are the 1LS sold exclusively with a 2.0-liter turbo, the 1LT (available with a 2.0-liter turbo and a 3.6-liter V6), the 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1.
A new color available for the 2022 Camaro is Vivid Orange Metallic. It is available on all Camaro trim levels. A second new color has also been introduced, dubbed Rapid Blue and first used by a Camaro pace car a few months ago. Both add $395 to the car’s sticker price.
In creating our dream Camaro, we opted for the flagship ZL1 model and have equipped it with the 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package that adds a new aero kit, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, and performance suspension with DSSV dampers. It also has the new Vivid Orange paint while the interior features red seat belts, all-weather floor mats, Chevy’s performance data and video recorder, and red knee pads.
With sales of the Chevrolet Camaro continuingly falling and the muscle car losing market share to the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, one may have expected GM to update it significantly for 2022 but it didn’t. Nevertheless, it is still relatively good value for money, with our dream 2022 Camaro carrying a price tag of $75,810.
