The Japanese tuning minds at Wald have released a series of digital renders showing what their take on a body kit for the new Toyota Land Cruiser could look like when it drops later this year or early 2022. Wald’s proposals trade the Land Cruiser‘s rugged looks for a more street-oriented design. The design seems to revolve around the same set of fender flares, side skirts, grille, with each of the renderings depicting different options for the front bumper and wheels. The various versions pictured appear to be nothing more than just renderings at the moment, but should any of them make it to production, its unclear if all the different bumper and wheel options will be offered or if just one combination will be made available.

As is the case with almost every other body kit revealed for the new Land Cruiser so far, this one is quite busy; however, that’s not to say its all that bad. The only things we’d really argue are over the top are the Chevron-like grille of the main kit and the front end design of the first rendering in the second post, but other than that, the rest of the designs are pretty solid, at least proportionally.

It’s worth noting that there aren’t any rear views of the kit yet, so it could be worth reserving judgement until there are before any decisions are made. The rear could very well make or break the design, so for the time being all we can do is wait to see what Wald has in store.
