AC Schnitzer has unveiled a plethora of upgrades for the BMW 4-Series Convertible that enhance most its performance and styling. Much like it has done with the 4-Series Coupe, AC Schnitzer offers different performance packages for different variants of the 4-Series Convertible, such as the 420i, 430i, M440i, and the diesel 430d. Power figures vary between the models but a flagship M440i with AC’s upgrades pumps out an impressive 420 hp, more than the previous-generation BMW M3 and M4.
Elsewhere, the German tuner has developed a new exhaust for the BMW that includes a stainless steel sports rear silencer with adjustable exhaust flaps and tailpipe trims available in carbon, chrome, or with a black anodized finish.
Unlike so many other tuning companies that call it a day after upgrading the engine and exhaust of a car, AC Schnitzer has also developed new suspension components for the 4-Series Convertible. This includes a new spring/damper combination that lowers the ride height by 15-25 mm. Lowering springs are also sold separately.
In terms of the visuals, a new front splitter has been designed for the car. There are also new side skirt extensions, and a rear lip. Two wheels designs are also available, dubbed the AC4 and AC1, both offered in 19-inch and 20-inch forms. Customers looking for the perfect fitment can also order 10 mm wheel spacers. Some subtle interior upgrades are also available for the 4-Series, including aluminum paddles, a cover for the iDrive controller, and aluminum pedals.
