Hyundai has been a major proponent of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and the company will showcase their vision of the future at a Hydrogen Wave event on September 7th. Billed as a forward-thinking forum, the Hydrogen Wave event will explore what a sustainable hydrogen society could look like. The company didn’t go into many specifics, but a number of unveilings are planned. Little is known about them, but teaser videos suggest a hydrogen-powered sports car could be among them.

As you can see, the mysterious model loosely resembles the Kia Stinger and features slender headlights as well as a rakish windscreen. The car also has a sporty greenhouse and wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system with red calipers. Additional details are hard to make out, but the model features a rear spoiler and a gently sloping roof.

Besides the sports car, Hyundai will apparently unveil a hydrogen-powered semi. It’s slated to have a futuristic design with smooth surfaces and pronounced fender flares. The model also appears to have a nearly vertical cab and distinctive wheel sections.

Furthermore, the company will reveal “exciting plans and business strategies for new hydrogen mobility technology, next-generation fuel cell systems and applications to diverse industries beyond automotive.” They’ll be joined by state-of-the-art future fuel cell electric vehicles, cutting-edge hydrogen application systems, and products from Hyundai Motor Group affiliates.
