Anhui Zhongding Sealing, parts supplier for China-based carmaker Li Auto, let it slip that the latter was working on an all-new car so far only known under its codename, X03.

Specifically, the company mentioned shipping an innovative thermal regulation system for a new Li Auto production car, which cost US$ 174,000,000 to develop and will be staying on the market for four years.

The index X03 suggests that the X Platform may be used. The X architecture supports only hybrid vehicles. Li Auto has so far only developed one production crossover SUV based on it, the Li Xiang One (see our gallery and watch the video). It has also designed an X01 Concept that still hasn’t reached production.

The young Chinese company has rather ambitious plans for the future. In two years’ time, it plans to be introducing two production cars annually based on its proprietary powertrains dubbed Whale and Shark.
