Changan has unveiled a part-electric modification of its Uni-K crossover SUV, which looks nearly identical to its ICE counterpart on the outside except for dual tailpipes and a tiny badge reading ‘IDD’ (the name of the powertrain).

The plug-in hybrid one uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 170 PS and 260 Nm of torque. The electric motor contributes another 116 PS and 330 Nm of torque. The all-electric range amounts to 130 kilometers according to the outdated NEDC standard, but have a full tank, and you will be able to cover 1,100 kilometers before running dry.

Acceleration parameters, trim levels, launch date and pricing remain to be announced. The standard Changan UniK has been on sale since March, and costs between 154,000 and 185,000 Chinese Yuan.
