McLaren secured a historic 1-2 finish at the Italian Grand Prix that took place two weeks ago and it hasn’t taken the British automaker long to celebrate the win with a limited-edition of the 720S.
This special variant of the mid-engined supercar is dubbed the Daniel Ricciardo Edition 720S and commemorates the Aussie driver who claimed victory in Monza ahead of teammate Lando Norris who finished in second position. The car will be capped at just three units and will only be available in Australia. Each car features the same Papaya Spark orange and Burton blue paint scheme as McLaren’s current MCL35M Formula 1 car.
Most of the car’s bodywork is finished in Payapa Orange while blue accents are found on the wing mirrors, side panels, and the air vents on both the hood and decklid. Ricciardo’s racing number, 3, is also found on the doors, as are small Australian flags. The limited-run model is also equipped with black wheels and blue brake calipers.
The unique features continue in the cabin where Papaya Orange accents are found across the seats, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel. The side sills are also inscribed with Ricciardo’s signature.
