MG, an automaker and part of SAIC Group, has shared the interior photos of its upcoming crossover SUV, the One. Note especially the two-part main display and the edgy steering wheel: both give off strong BMW iX vibes.
Unlike the iX, however, the MG One offers three displays in total. In addition to the digital gauge cluster and the infotainment touchscreen, it has an extra display to the left of the steering wheel, with sensor buttons for easy access to the most used in-car features. The HVAC panel is also touch-based, but the steering wheel and the center tunnel still house an assortment of physical controls. There are vivid accents all around and soft ambient lighting.
In an earlier announcement, MG said the iX would ship in two main styling variants named Alpha and Beta. The former would target fast lane drivers and the latter would appeal to fashion-conscious people and high-tech enthusiasts. Both versions come powered by the same 1.5-liter turbo mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG transmission for 181 PS. The drive stays on the front axle in all cases.
