Prices for the more value-oriented versions of the Polestar 2 have been announced at IAA Munich 2021. The new models help bring the cost of getting into a Polestar 2 by € 6,000 (US$ 7,119). Both are available with just one motor, the Standard range Single motor Polestar 2 rings in at € 45,500 (US$ 53,974) while the Long range Single motor Polestar 2 starts at € 48,500 (US$ 57,533). The familiar Long range Dual motor Polestar, on the other hand, starts at € 51,500 (US$ 61,092).

The single motor versions of the Polestar 2 were first announced earlier this year bring the power figures down from 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque to just 231 hp and 336 Nm of torque. The Single motor Long Range version of the car, though, gets the same 78 kWh battery pack as the Dual motor version, and as a result of its lower power, gets greater range. On the WLTP test cycle, it gets 515-540 km of range, as compared to the more powerful Dual motor car’s 450-480 km of range. The Standard Range version, meanwhile, gets 420-440 km.

The car is also now offered with three trims: The Performance, Plus, and Pilot Packs. The last is the cheapest, adding just € 3,500 (US$ 4,153) to the price and additional safety tech like LED head and fog lights, a 360-degree camera. The Plus Pack adds € 4,500 (US$ 5,339) to the price as well as Harman Kardon audio, WeaveTech upholstery, Black Ash deco panels, and a full-length glass roof. Finally, the Performance Pack costs an extra € 6,000 (US$ 7,119) and adds adjustable Ohlins dampers, Brembo brakes, and forged 20-inch alloys.
