Ford’s North American Product Communications Director has officially confirmed plans for a Bronco Everglades. In a tweet, Mike Levine revealed the model will be available next summer, and offered with a factory-installed winch and snorkel.

While additional information will be released in the future, the 2021 Bronco can be equipped with a US$ 3,500 winch kit that was jointly developed with Warn. It features a 10,000 lbs (4,536 kg) Warn winch with 30 meters of line, a wired remote, and all the related mounting hardware and bracketry. This could presumably come factory-installed on the Everglades, but it might mean the model would have to eschew adaptive cruise control.

Besides the winch and snorkel, the Everglades could come equipped with a unique Desert Sand exterior. That bit of information was revealed alongside the Bronco Raptor in Ford’s dealership ordering system in September.

While the Bronco Everglades’ launch is still months away, Levine said the trim is “coming soon” to the 2022 Bronco configurator. Of course, the model will likely be outshined by the aforementioned Raptor variant which is expected to have a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with around 400 hp and 562 Nm of torque. We can also expect an off-road focused suspension as well as improved approach, departure and breakover angles as Ford wants to take the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon down a few pegs.
