Volkswagen continues testing its mysterious all-electric sedan allegedly called the Aero B (name unconfirmed), which is set to phase out the elderly Passat when it arrives at the market. A recent bunch of spy photos shows it in such great detail that no amount of disguise can prevent us from seeing everything.

Starting at the front, the “radiator grille” is an obvious glued-on fake. Other than that, the nose looks much like that of the ID.3 and ID.4 models. The headlights try to appear larger than they are, and the pentagonal air vents at the sides of the front bumper are also fake: the real vents are narrow slits.

The company reveals no technical details about this particular model at the moment, but it is already clear that it is based on the I.D. Vizzion Concept shown in the attached video. That one was built on the MEB tech platform that supports RWD and AWD layouts, as well as different battery sizes. The car is expected to make its official debut in 2023.
