The first official photos of the facelifted 2022 Hyundai Creta, a small crossover sold in South America, India and Russia, among other markets, have surfaced ahead of the car’s global debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Hyundai only introduced the second-generation Creta, also known as the iX25 is some regions, in 2019, but it hasn’t wasted any time in overhauling the small crossover’s design to be more reminiscent of its other models.
As we can see in these photos, the front of the new Creta is the first thing you’ll notice. It takes direct inspiration from the Tucson and Santa Cruz with its grille and the familiar Parametric Jewel Hidden Lights. Secondary headlamp units are then located lower down on the fascia. Elsewhere, we can see that this red example has a number of silver accents, including the grille surround and across the bumper.
Fewer changes have been made to the rear
of the facelifted Creta with the odd taillights of the current model being
carried over. Hyundai has also thoroughly updated the interior of the SUV. It
too has hints of the larger Tucson and other Hyundai models with a four-spoke
steering wheel and a large infotainment screen that has been neatly
incorporated into the dashboard. The Creta also has an eight-inch digital
instrument cluster. Other noteworthy features include an ambient lighting
system, patterned speaker grilles, and rectangular air vents.
