Hot on the heels of the production-spec Fisker Ocean premiering at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the online configurator for the SUV has been launched. As far as automotive configurators go, this one is quite basic but it does let you customize the SUV to your liking. The first thing you’ll need to decide is what variant of the Ocean you’d like. Kicking off the range is the Sport that’s priced from US$ 37,499, while sitting above it in the range is the Ultra (US$ 49,999) and the Extreme (US$ 68,999). A One (Launch Edition) variant is also available from US$ 68,999.

The configurator includes 14 different paint options and ours is finished in the vibrant shade of Blue Planet. Three different wheel options are also available in 20-inch and 22-inch forms, including the F7 AeroStealth wheels that we have opted for. Three interior configurations are also available, although two of them couldn’t be selected when we were using the tool.

At the vehicle’s LA launch, Fisker announced that the entry-level Ocean Sport will use a lithium-ion phosphate battery cell supplied by CATL that provides the electric SUV with 402 km of range. This motor feeds a 275 hp electric motor at the front wheels. Meanwhile, higher-end Ocean models use nickel manganese cobalt batteries from CATL, giving the Ultra 547 km of range and the Extreme and One (Launch Edition) models both 562 km of range per charge.

Fisker is currently accepting reservations for the Ocean with a US$ 250 deposit, but the SUV won’t be available to purchase until the end of 2022.
