Compared to the standard Jetour X90, the newly launched “Plus” version of the seven-seat crossover SUV sports design improvements and comes with a more powerful engine. The old version is still available with 1.5- and 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines rated at 156 PS and 197 PS, respectively. The new one offers a third option: a 2.0-liter turbo mill good for 254 PS. A seven-speed Getrag DCT comes to replace its less sophisticated six-speed version. The drive stays affixed to the front axle.

The wheelbase is unchanged at 2,850 mm, but the overall length of the car gains 18 mm for a total of 4,858 mm. All trim levels envision three seat rows. Elsewhere, the newcomer boasts a larger front grille, slimmer headlights and taller anti-fog lights. The taillights are connected with a light strip. Things stay the same in the cabin except for the gear selector, which is now an electronic joystick instead of a mechanical lever.

Despite its large dimensions and giant 20-inch wheels, the Jetour X90 Plus is comparatively affordable at 102,000–164,000 Chinese Yuan (US$ 16,000–US$ 25,600 at the current conversion rates).
