Porsche has launched the Panamera Platinum Edition in India at a starting price of Rs. 1.71 crore (ex-showroom). This new model, says Porsche, combines satin gloss platinum design features with an extended list of standard equipment. On the outside, the Panamera Platinum edition has platinum accents in satin finish on the “Porsche” lettering, air outlet trims, the model designation and the 21-inch ‘Exclusive Design’ sport wheels.
Both the window trims and the tailpipes
have been finished in high-gloss black, while on the inside, the new edition
features black décor in brushed aluminium and door sill guards that also have
“Platinum Edition” embossed on them. The car features more standard equipment
including the LED matrix headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus
(PDLS Plus), adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management
(PASM), BOSE Surround Sound System, 14-way electrically adjustable comfort
seats and more.
While the Panamera is available in India
in standard, GTS, Turbo S and Turbo S E-Hybrid variants, the the Platinum
Edition will come only in base and top-spec models. The standard model is
powered by a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo unit delivering 330 PS and 450 Nm. The Turbo
S E-Hybrid, on the other hand, features a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine assisted
by an electric motor that makes 700 PS and 870 Nm in total.
All models will come with an 8-speed PDK
and customers willing to pay more than the base Porsche Panamera Platinum
Edition price tag can opt to customise the car to their liking.
