China’s Asiastar has unveiled the X9-3, a high-end tourist coach whose exterior design has been completed by Pininfarina. The avant-garde shape of the bus is intended to combine Italian industrial design concepts with modern Chinese fashion to create an elegant and luxurious look. The design is also intended to be lightweight to help the powertrain deal with every hill and run as efficiently as possible.
Designed collaboratively between Shanghai
and Italy, the teams want to create a state-of-the-art experience that is so
good that it encourages travelers to choose it over their car. The passengers’
and driver’s needs have, of course, also been considered.
Currently presented as a prototype, the
X9-3 was unveiled at Asiastar’s business conference in Yangzhou.
