Chery unveiled the coupe-like CUV Omoda 5 at the Guangzhou Auto Show a few months ago. Back then, the car had a single 1.6L turbo spec on the list, but two more have been added since: a non-turbo and a hybrid.

In case you don’t remember, the original Omoda 5 1.6L turbo comes with a seven-speed DCT and produces 197 PS. Both new versions are less powerful. One uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine rated at 113 PS and is obtainable with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The other one is a mild hybrid system that takes the same engine and teams it up with a 48V starter-generator unit. This version makes 156 PS and does not support manual transmission.
