Porsche introduced the facelifted Panamera in 2020 and it appears the model is going under the knife for a second time. This particular prototype doesn’t look too remarkable at first glance, but it features a new front bumper with a small opening above the license plate bracket. We can also see revised intakes and updated lighting units. While the rear end is partially covered by snow, it appears to carryover. However, the production model could have minor modifications to help separate the facelifted variant from its predecessor.
Spy photographers haven’t gotten a good
look inside yet, but there could be a handful of minor changes. In particular,
the Panamera could adopt a minimalist shifter that echoes the one found in the
911. That remains to be seen, but Porsche has been moving in this direction and
spy photographers have already spotted a smaller shifter on the facelifted
Cayenne.
Besides the possibility of a new shifter,
we wouldn’t be surprised to find an updated infotainment system as well as some
minor trim and upholstery updates. However, we shouldn’t expect major changes
as a redesigned Panamera is expected to arrive around 2025.
It remains unclear if there will be any
powertrain updates, but the current model is offered with an assortment of
options including a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with outputs of 325 hp and 443 hp. Customers can also opt for a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with outputs of 473
hp and 620 hp. Porsche also offers a
handful of plug-in hybrid variants with combined outputs ranging from 455 hp to 690 hp.
