Pagani today took to its social media outlets to confirm that its next vehicle, the much-anticipated C10, will be unveiled on September 12. In addition to the message, the company also shared a sketch of the C10 that was penned by Horacio Pagani, the company’s founder. Although it only revealed a limited amount about the car, it does show a familiar fighter jet-style canopy and powerful haunches.
We recently saw a prototype version of the
car testing on public roads in Italy. Still under camouflage, the car certainly
looks different than Huayra but there remains a familiar resemblance. At the
back, it also has a quad tailpipe setup that has been seen in previous brand
designs. Long, low, and wide, the car is every bit the mid-engine hypercar you
might expect of the automaker.
The engine, Pagani has confirmed, will be
a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 supplied by AMG that will be mated to either a
manual or an automatic transmission. Though powerful, Pagani has stopped itself
from giving the engine any more than 888 hp, focusing instead
on reducing weight, which has meant that this will feature no electric
assistance.
Pagani is expected to start delivering the
C10 to customers in 2023. A leaked document from the brand suggests that the
reservation fee for a build slot was € 300,000 (US$ 316,215), though you’ll be
lucky to get one even if you can scrounge up the cash because it is expected to
make just 300 of these cars.
